Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh High Court has on Thursday rejected the PIL filed by the YSR Congress Honorary President Y S Vijaya Lakshmi on the assets of the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu. The court said that the petition filed was not fit to be heard.

Vijayamma has filed this petition on October 17th last year, charging that Naidu has gained huge wealth through corrupt practices during his rule. She has also named 12 persons including the Eenadu group chairman Ramoji Rao, TDP MP Nama Nageswara Rao, TDP vice president C M Ramesh, Jayabheri Constructions owner Murali Mohan and others as respondents in the case.

Chandrababu has filed a vacate petition on November 28, stating that this was a politically motivated petition. After hearing the preliminary arguments, the court has on December 14 directed the CBI to stop its investigation into the allegations.

A bench comprising Justice G Rohini and Justice Ashutosh Mehta has on Thursday dismissed Vijayamma’s petition.
