RootsIn,The very name evokes nostalgic feelings and a sense of belonging ness in one's mind.
Though, we enjoy all the comforts & benfits that a modern city entails, our hearts very much longs for our village. we are sure, there are many like us, who got settled in various parts of the world and are completely cut off from there village childhood friends neighbours and relatives.
RootsIn has stem from the very idea to connect all the people who live in various parts of the world with their respective village’s. Hence, we created a social networking platform for village eco-system, where people can connect interact, share and express their views and idea's. It is a platform where people can discuss anything and everything related to their villages which helps in the overall development of their village.
Childhood is the best phase for anybody who has a decent upbringing. We are the fortunate few who were raised in village during our childhood. It left us with a lot of memories to cherish.
Though there is no match in terms of comforts, facilities and opportunities that a city has on offer over villages for children or adults, but on the environment front villages fare better. It takes one to be a nature lover to admire the beauty, charm and sanctum of villages.
Villages are bestowed with clean air and fresh waters that are hard to find in city environment. One can’t stop but admire the beauty and charm of early morning's in villages. people wake up early to find the mystic fog that prevails, the chirping of birds, the cool breeze that flows over the crops, the enchanting of suprabatham and baghawathgeetha from the temple's are some of the few experiences that soothe your mind and soul.
There are certain characteristic features when one envision's the picture of the village in mind like the village river, the large banyan tree, temples and lush green field which fills our mind with joy.Festival season's are the best of times for one to be in village. People should make imperative atleast to visit their villages during these times in order to maintain the social relations with their fellow villages, it also helps our children know about the culture, traditions and customs that villagers follow. since, it is not feasable for people living in other countries to visit their villages often or during festive seasons, it is here where we pitch in to establish connectivity through a platform called RootsIn.
Villages form the backbone of our economy . True progress, growth and prosperity can only be realised when village's become self sustainable. Agriculture is the primary occupation in villages. since, it has taken a backseat and is no more a lucrative option, people started to migrate to cities for better prospects. We must reverse this trend and the government should take pro active steps towards agriculture and administer policies & measures which help farmers.
Though, some villages are better of in terms of infrastructure & connectivity, most villages are suffering from crippling infrastructure and some even lack the basic eminities like electricity & fresh water. we believe that every person who migrated to greener pastures and attained success and wealth should feel some sort of moral responsibility and do their bit for their respective villages.
If we can attain at least some sort of betterment in the life of poor villagers and in the living conditions of village's, we believe that our sense of purpose in developing RootsIn has been served.
